As his very first gravel bike, Steve sought a reliable ride to explore new terrain. After failing to find a unique complete gravel bike with the components he desired, Steve turned to the VYNL Gravel Disc frameset to build a bike just as he wanted. The result is a clean, capable and reliable gravel bike for all types of new adventures.

Steve is 6’0″ and chose a frame size 57cm. He opted for our Pale Green frame color that is expertly finished by Flux Customs in a durable two-stage powder coat. Steve chose to keep his ENVE Gravel Disc Fork in its original carbon finish.

Components

Steve chose the ever-reliable Shimano 1x GRX groupset. We love the stopping power of GRX hydraulic disc brakes. For parts, Steve chose to keep his ride low on grams with Whisky Parts Co. carbon cockpit and seat post. Steve is enjoying the Whiskey flared drop bars and says they offer comfort, control and reduced wrist pressure.

Steve’s gravel rig rolls on Specialized Pathfinder Pro tires, saying “if they’re good enough to win Unbound Gravel, they’re good enough for me!”
